Lectures and Seminars Jewish Communities Around the World The Academy places a high priority on reaching out to and engaging Jewish communities around the world. The Academy's staff regularly travel to communities across North America and Europe in order to lecture on the pressing issues facing Israel and the Jewish world, and to talk about the educational vision behind the Academy's work. Leadership in Israeli Society The Academy operates in order to strengthen the forces of leadership within Israeli society, through intensification of their personal and Jewish identities, and increasing their social awareness. This program has two main elements: lectures by the heads of the academy, and extensive workshops presented by the entire educational staff of the academy. The heads of the academy present lectures on Jewish identity, Zionism and leadership. These lectures are designated for all command and officer training courses in the IDF, preparatory seminars for high-school educational staffs, and youth movement leaders from across the country, among others. A workshop lasting one to three days is held at the academy facilities. Groups who attend the workshop undergo a process which builds the participants' moral motivation and confidence in their leadership qualities. Among the regular participants of the workshop are flight instructors at aviation training courses, team commanders in "Sayeret Matkal" (the IDF's elite commando unit) and senior officer training instructors.
