The Israeli Academy for Leadership

Background

New forces are emerging in Israeli society. Despite the deterioration of values, the deepening rifts, and the crisis of leadership, new forces are at work below the surface, gradually rising to change the face of Israeli society. The Israeli Academy for Leadership seeks to engage these forces, unite them, shape them, and empower them to break free and awaken Israeli society from its slumber.

Vision

The Academy is focused on leading a sea change in the perspective, behavior and culture of Israeli and Jewish society. The ultimate vision is a model society that provides a rich quality of life for its citizens, and exemplifies the full potential of the Great Civilization of the Jewish people.

Objective

The academy's students aspire to become people who seek excellence in all aspects of their life - body, mind and soul. These young men and women are looking to develop into citizens who strive for a better Israeli society, a more advanced Jewish world, and a richer education for themselves and for others.

Goals

1. The Educational Goal:Developing deep qualities of personal and national responsibility, profound erudition, sensitivity, social attentiveness, and a commitment to influence and improve Israeli society and Diaspora Judaism. All these are an inherent part of serving as an example to others.

2. The Identity Goal: Revival of genuine Israeli cultural patriotism, deepening the pride in Jewish, Israeli and Democratic identity, and creating a bridge of understanding and trust between different layers of Israeli society (secular and religious) to establish a model of spiritual and practical cooperation.

3. The Intellectual Goal: Building a broad-minded, knowledge-thirsty, and independent-thinking personality. The Academy aims to grow scholars whose scholarliness forms an essential part of their personalities.

4. The Leadership Goal: Building confidence in the capabilities of initiative and leadership within every single student.

5. The Community Goal: Nurturing leadership groups that will influence Israeli and Jewish society by intensifying their identity, enhancing their social awareness, and teaching tolerance toward cultural diversity in Israel.
